Conscription into the army b3. Features of assigning fitness category B3. Indicators of purpose B1, B2, B3, B4

The main purpose of the draft commission is to identify a conscript for military service. In particular, during a medical examination he may be assigned fitness category B3.

In order to understand where the conscript will be taken as a result of such a decision and what can await him, you need to understand what the letter “B” and the number “3” mean. Let's start with the letter:

What does the letter “B” mean in the fitness category?

The letter “B”, like any other letter in the fitness category, determines the restrictions when a conscript performs military service. It means that a citizen undergoing conscription has had some minor health problems, which, however, do not prevent him from serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. For example, this could be the absence of 4 frontal teeth on one jaw or hemorrhoids with rare complications.

Thus, you will most likely not be accepted into all, but only into some special forces units. Which ones specifically will depend on your illnesses.

What does the number “3” mean in Fitness Category “B”?

The number “3” is the so-called indicator of predestination for military service. It further defines your restrictions on service in certain branches of the military, military units and military positions. Conscripts assigned B3 are recommended for service in the following branches of the military and in the following positions:

Chemical military units, fuel refueling and storage specialists - requirements:

  • Visual acuity without correction - 0.5:0.1 (Ophthalmologist)
  • Whispering speech - 5:5 (Otorhinolaryngologist)
  • No color weakness grade 3 or 2 (Ophthalmologist)
  • Absence of dichromasia (Ophthalmologist)

Drivers and crew members of infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers and missile unit launchers - requirements:

  • Visual acuity without correction - 0.5:0.1 for drivers; 0.8:0.4 for all others; (Ophthalmologist)
  • Whispered speech - 1:4 or 3:3 for crew members; 6:6 for the rest; (Otorhinolaryngologist)
  • No grade 3 or 2 color weakness for drivers; (Ophthalmologist)
  • No dichromasy for drivers; (Ophthalmologist)
  • Height - no higher than 180 cm; (Surgeon)

Anti-aircraft missile units - requirements:

  • Visual acuity without correction - 0.5:0.1; (Ophthalmologist)
  • Whispered speech - 5:5; (Otorhinolaryngologist)
  • Other military units of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, guard units - requirements.

    Young conscripts, preparing for compulsory military service, undergo a medical examination. Often, based on the results of the examination, category B is assigned, since there are now only a single number of absolutely healthy young men. Each of them is concerned with one question: Which troops are recruited with category B?

    What is category B for military personnel and how to get it

    Conscription to the military registration and enlistment office is carried out twice a year: in the fall and in the spring, when the recruit turns 17 years old. In order to rationally distribute conscripts in accordance with their health and capabilities, a medical examination is carried out. If there are minor deviations in health, the recruit is assigned category B, that is, the man is fit, but with some restrictions regarding deployment to the troops. In the personal file and military ID, a category mark with a number is affixed: 1, 2, 3 or 4.

    Passing a medical examination involves:

    • visiting several doctors, including: therapist, ophthalmologist, orthopedic surgeon, otolaryngologist, psychiatrist, venereologist-dermatologist, dentist;
    • blood, urine, ECG, fluorography tests;
    • providing an extract from the recruit's medical record.

    Each doctor is required to put a mark on the dispensary sheet assigning fitness according to the health group (from A to D). If each of the doctors considered the conscript completely healthy and assigned health group “A”, but one of them noted “B”, then the young man receives category B and the choice of troops for military service is limited.

    Minor deviations in health are considered to be manifestations of allergic reactions, chronic diseases that do not entail serious consequences, and other problems.

    Which troops are recruited with category B?

    Group B is divided into subgroups with digital indications and depends on them:

    • B-1 (young people with an excellent level of health, good physical fitness and a sports rank). A conscript can serve in almost any military unit, but preference for deployment is given to: Airborne Forces (airborne troops), air assault troops, border troops, marines, departments of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB RF), special forces and other types of military troops.
    • B-2. The recruit is sent to the fleet, engineering and automotive units of the strategic missile forces. A man can serve on a submarine, ship, be a driver or crew member of tanks, self-propelled artillery units, as well as engineering vehicles based on tractors.
    • B-3 (the health status of the conscript is at an excellent level, but limitation of physical activity is recommended). The young man is sent to the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (MVD of the Russian Federation), missile units, motorized rifle troops, anti-aircraft units, radiation, chemical and biological defense troops (RKhBZ), guard units, as drivers in any of the military units. A recruit can be a driver of an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, or a member of the crew of these vehicles, as well as monitor vehicle fuel.
    • B-4 (recruits who have not received a health group with category B-3, but are fit for military service). The conscript has significant recommendations to limit physical activity. Can be enlisted in the remaining military units, where the physical load will be minimal and perform the following functions: an employee of a communications or radio technical unit, a security specialist for missile systems and other military bodies.

    Recruits can also be sent to other, lower-category military units.

    If the recruit is familiar with the Which troops are recruited with category B?, but does not agree with the health group assigned to him and with the conclusion of the conscription commission, then he can challenge it. Until the consideration of the complaint is completed and a court decision is made, the conscript cannot be recruited to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Also, if a man’s health status changes, he can undergo a re-examination by a medical commission. The appropriate notes will be made on the military ID and personal file.

    During the annual conscription at the military registration and enlistment office, all conscripts are assigned a health category. Often, a conscript is assigned category “B”. A modification of the category with the number “B-1”, “B-2”, “B-3” or “B-4” is always recorded in the personal file. What does this mark mean in the personal file and in which troops should the conscript prepare for military service?

    Who can put category "B"?

    The conscript goes through specialized doctors: an ophthalmologist, an otolaryngologist, a surgeon, a dermatologist and venereologist, a psychiatrist, a neurologist, a dentist and a therapist. In its work, the commission relies on the following documentation:

    • fluorography and ECG;

    • medical record from a medical institution;

    • blood and urine tests;

    • other documents and conclusions indicating diagnoses and examinations performed.

    All medical specialists make notes on the state of health. If all specialists mark the conscript as fit for category “A”, and only one of them – for category “B”, then as a result, fitness for category “B” will be recorded in the personal file.

    The law defines five categories of suitability. Each group is divided into subgroups with codes from 1 to 4. By the letter in the group you can judge how healthy the applicant is for active military service. These groups have the following designation:

    • category “A” - suitable without restrictions;

    • “B” - fit for military service with restrictions that relate to the determination of the type of troops;

    • - limited eligibility, in which case the conscript receives a military ID and goes into the reserve;

    • - temporarily unfit due to a deferment granted for certain diseases, with subsequent medical examination at the end of the deferment.

    • “D” - not suitable, and the citizen is removed from military registration.
    determine whether the conscript can go to serve and what restrictions are subsequently imposed.

    Which troops will they join?

    This category is indicated in the citizen’s personal file and military ID in the case where the conscript has minor health impairments. Such disorders may include non-acute forms of chronic illnesses, and other deviations that do not impair the functioning of the systems and organs of the human body. The category has four subgroups. Let's consider each of them separately.

    1) B – 1
    The most convenient group is that a conscript is fit for anything, but there is always a place for personnel with such excellent health, mainly in the following branches of the military:

    • Airborne Forces;
    • Marines;
    • special forces of various departments and purposes;
    • border troops, units of the FSB of the Russian Federation;
    • other branches of the military, where the conscript may express a desire to go to serve.

    As a rule, young men who have excellent physical training and documents for the assignment of sports qualifications get to serve here.

    2) B – 2
    Such conscripts are recommended to serve in the navy, automobile, engineering troops and the Strategic Missile Forces. You should read more in the appendix to the official document, which lists the criteria by which the commission can assign a fitness category.

    3) B – 3
    It includes almost all possible diseases for which they can be drafted into the army. The conscript is fit in all respects, but there can only be restrictions on physical activity. Citizens assigned to this group may be called up for service:

    • drivers;
    • to the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation;
    • RCBZ troops;
    • missile and anti-aircraft units;
    • motorized rifle troops;
    • other branches of the military where service with this health group is possible.
    4) B – 4
    Citizens who are not included in group B-3, but are fit for military service with severe restrictions on physical activity.

    Comments:

    If the question arises, then one of the resolutions may assign a B3 fitness category. Many citizens of the Russian Federation receive this category, but they often do not provide advice when applying for it. Sometimes you have to figure out the decoding yourself.

    When is it assigned and what does category B3 mean?

    In total, there are 5 possible categories when examining a conscript. They are usually called letters of the alphabet from A to D. Also, each category has a digital index. For example, the letter designation B comes in three types: B1, B2, B3. In general, in a military ID it implies partial restrictions in the process of military service. These restrictions are most often associated with certain medical indicators of the conscript.

    Answering the question about what troops are waiting after the military medical examination to establish B3, we can highlight the following areas:

    In fact, the restrictions are quite minor. A conscript whose fitness category is B 3 is actually fit on an equal basis with others. The only thing is that such a citizen will not be accepted into various types of elite units, as a marine or paratrooper.

    In the future, after completing military service with this category, you can easily get a job in law enforcement agencies.

    This can be either the police or work in the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

    When figuring out where they will take you with category B3, you can be dissatisfied with the commission’s decision. It should be borne in mind that any disagreement with the decision of the draft military medical commission can be challenged in court. This could be a debate for both promotion and demotion.

    It is almost impossible to assign a letter category to yourself. This can only be done by expert bodies, conducting control and inspection of conscripts. In addition to the general medical condition of a person, the psychological climate is also taken into account. In addition, the future fighter’s predisposition to any type of activity is taken into account.

    If a citizen does not agree with the category, they must report it immediately. In some cases, an on-site review is possible due to objective reasons. However, in most cases, review is carried out only by executive decision of the judiciary. Most often, requests are made to revise the category downward, even to the extent of granting a deferment and release from service.
