Card selection
A card from which we didn't expect much. It has rather weak characteristics, is not a beast, and does not fit the Hunter's tempo game philosophy. However, in practice, it shows brilliant results.
Its main use is to flatten the mana curve. You look at what is in your hand and plan the course of the game several moves ahead. For example - you put [Mended Ranger] on turn 3, if you have in hand, for example, [Infected Wolf], look for something to play on turn 5. If you already have a good hand 2-3 moves ahead, look for [Lich King].
[Corpse Widow] affects the opponent like a red rag on a bull. Seriously, in this deck she works primarily as a 4/6 minion with an imaginary “taunt.” Your opponent doesn’t know that you have creatures with a death rattle in your deck—the cat cried. So it turns out that your opponent has to waste some of his valuable resources.
Play a creature with a “deathrattle” at a nice discount - good, lure out the removal - even better.
I write about this card in almost every deck description and it’s already difficult for me to find new words :) The fact is that [Bone Mare] is an excellent choice for any deck whose strength lies in the constant presence of creatures on the table. If you run out of animals on the table - [Bone Mare] will be useless, yes, but it also means that you have lost.
If you don't have this card, try another deck. This is the main condition for victory in long matches.
It's not worth crafting it right now, since I'm not at all sure that the Midrange Hunter will continue to show good results. For now, it's a decent deck, but nothing more. Better wait a couple of days.

If you received two copies of creatures for 1 unit. mana - discard the extra ones, leave only one and start building the correct mana curve. Midrange Hunter is only very strong if he makes optimal tempo moves. There shouldn't be any extra mana left; extra mana means a loss of tempo.

Icecrown Citadel
